Rolling Slowdown Operations

Rolling slowdowns, also known as rolling roadblocks, are essential for creating safe work zones on high-speed roadways. At Flagger Force, our experienced crews coordinate highway traffic control to temporarily slow  traffic, giving utility, construction, and maintenance teams the time and space to perform critical work safely. With proven processes and a Safety-Driven® approach, we deliver dependable freeway traffic control for projects of any size.

What Are Rolling Slowdowns?

A rolling slowdown temporarily paces traffic to a reduced speed on freeways or other high-speed corridors to create a protected work window for tasks like utility line pulls, overhead sign or bridge work, and debris removal. With deep experience across the communities we serve, our local, full-time crews coordinate with law enforcement and apply each state’s DOT requirements and municipal protocols—planning timing, signage, and communication to keep motorists and workers safe while minimizing delay.
